Override the Web Filter

As an ICTC staff member with computer login credentials, you can override the web filter for 90 minute intervals at a time. 

This is helpful when you run into sites, or portions of a site, that may be blocked by our filter.

When visiting a site, you may get a message like this in your browser >


This typically means the web filter is blocking your access to that particular site

STEPS TO OVERRIDE AND GAIN ACCESS:

2. In the URL bar, type lsoverride.me

3. A screen like this one should come up >

Important Step Note: If there is a username/password box that comes up instead, please skip to step #6




NOTE: Do not click the "submit for review" button here - that will not help with overriding

4. Click the "Login" button on the page, as shown here

5. In the username and password boxes, enter your ICTC computer login credentials and click "Authenticate"

6. In the username and password boxes, enter your ICTC computer login credentials (do it again, if you had to login in step 5)

7. Click the "Override" button, 

8. You should get a screen like this one >

9. Go back to the tab/site you were originally trying to access and refresh

10. You should have access now! 

You can use the override for 90 minutes before it resets back to normal and you must override again.
