Invite Students to Class

To enroll your students in your Google Classroom class, you need to invite them via email or give them a code to join.

Instructions for both of these methods are laid out below.

Note: Students can unenroll themselves from classes. If they unenroll, their grades are removed.

Invite via Email:

2. Click the class you want to add students to

3. At the top, click "People" > "Invite Students" icon

4. Enter the student's email address and select

5. (Optional) Keep repeating step 4 until you have all the student addresses you need

6. Click "Invite"

7. After you email the invitation, the class list updates to show the names of invited students.

8. Instruct your students to accept the Invite in the email

Invite via Code:

2. Click the class

3. Under the class name you will see "Class Code", this is the code to give to students

4. Give the students these instructions to join the class:

a. Go to classroom.google.com

b. On the Classes page, click Add + > "Join a class"

c. Enter given code and click "Join"
