Create Google Calendar Event

1.) Open up calendar.google.com and log into your ictech.edu account if prompted

*Optional: Change into the "Month" view (top right > drop down next to settings gear > month) if you aren't already, for the purposes of this tutorial*

2.) Click an empty space on the day you wish to create an event

3.) Add a title at the top of the box 

*Optional: choose the "type" of meeting from Event, Out of office, Reminder, Task, or Appointment Slots*

4.) Click the "Add Time" button to choose a time

5.) Click "Add Guests" to invite people to your meeting and type in their email to find and add them to the event

*Optional: Choose a Room/Location and/or add conferencing*

6.) Create a description of the event

7.)  Choose the calendar you wish to add the event to by clicking the drop down menu.

*Click "Save" and you are done OR go to the next section to see optional event creation features*

More Options: 

Clicking "More Options" will bring up a new window like the one pictured below:

8.) Choose whether or not this event will be all day, a certain time, and/or repeat itself

9.) Add Notifications that will remind you at the time you set it to send the event reminder

10.) Choose the color you want the event to show on the calendar as

11.) Choose how your status will be displayed when this event is going on

12.) Choose how guests can interact with the calendar event.
