Google Authenticator App
It is incredibly important that staff enable multi-factor authentication on their ICTC Google account, given all the access and information that touches those accounts.
The Google Authenticator app is the recommended method of two-factor authentication because of it's ease of use and ability to be used with other accounts.
Use the below instructions if this is the method you wish to use for your staff ictech.edu account.

Set Up Google Authenticator App
Please note you will be going between your phone and your computer for the set up below. Pay attention in the steps to which device you should be working on.
On your computer, logged into Google...
Go to Account icon > Manage Google Account
2. Go to Security, in the left-hand menu
3. Scroll down to the "How you sign in to Google section"
Locate the Authenticator button
4. Confirm password/follow on screen instructions until you reach the Authenticator app page, shown below
5. On your phone - Download the Google Authenticator app
*available in Apple App Store or Google Play store*
6. Open and sign into the app with your ictech.edu account, if prompted/follow on screen instructions then go back to your computer broswer
7. On the computer, click the Set up authenticator button, which will bring up a QR code
8. On your phone, Click the + button and choose "scan QR code" from the options
9. The phone will open a camera for scanning a code... Scan the QR code on your computer with your phone
10. On your phone - the account has been added... You should now see codes begin to change every few seconds
On the computer - Hit the "next" button on the QR code page then enter the code the app is currently showing
Hit "verify" once the code is entered
11. On the computer - You should see a screen similar to the one shown here.
Click the Turn On button
12. On the new page, confirm you wish to turn on by clicking the Turn on 2-step Verification button
13. You should see a confirmation like the one shown here, once it has been enabled.
You are done!
Log In With Google Authenticator App
NOTE: Once a browser/device is "trusted" you should NOT have to authenticate like this again, unless you revoke it from the account or clear cookies.
On the computer or other device - Go to sign into your Google account like usual
2. On your phone with the Google Authenticator app installed -
Open the Google Authenticator app and locate your ictech.edu account codes
3. On the computer or other device - enter the code where it is requesting one
NOTE: be sure to leave "don't ask again on this device" checked so that it adds to your trusted device list
4. You are done!
